What is Fortnite Siphon and how to use it in Chapter 4 Season 1?

Fortnite Siphon

Siphon in Fortnite is a mechanic that lets you instantly heal health or shield upon eliminating an opponent. Depending on the game mode, it heals you from 25 to 50 points of health, and if you need to recover fewer health points than that, the extra health is converted into the shield.

The newest Fortnite gameplay has been taking pace since Chapter 4 Season 1. The official blog has revealed all the particulars about the upcoming features including the new weapons. A new season in Fortnite definitely means a new storyline as well as a new theme. But, new weapons are also one among the many eye-catchers in the game.

How to Use

Epic Games has introduced five new Reality Augments, two of which have siphon mechanics. Shotgun Striker and Rarity Check are the two Reality Augments that allow you to gain health and shields through different methods. It was first introduced as part of the Limited Time Mode on December 20, 2018. However, Epic Games felt the need to vault it soon after.

It is similar to “life steal” effects in certain games, but the amount restored doesn’t change depending on how much damage you do in Fortnite – a bullet that does 100 damage and a bullet that does 10 both restore the same amount of health or shield.

The Siphon mechanic can be used in Fortnite through Reality Augments, the new in-game Perks added in the Chapter 4 Season 1 update. At the moment there are two Augments that incorporate Siphoning in their abilities – Shotgun Striker and Rarity Check.
