BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The unused horse stables at Expo Idaho, once used during the heyday of horse racing, will soon be removed from the property.
Ada County said Wednesday that commissioners approved OK'd the step and will be using American Rescue Plan Act funds to help fund the project.
"The process of removing the horse barns will get underway later this year once the board approves a resolution in the coming days," the county said.
Horse racing at Expo Idaho ended following a voter-supported ballot initiative in 2018.Plans for this area include moving Lady Bird park from its existing location at the corner of Chinden and Glenwood to the area once occupied by the horse stables.
